Whispers and Whinnies Guide
Welcome to Whispers and Whinnies
Whispers and Whinnies is a great place to get to know other members of the community, talk to your friends, and take a break from the more horse-centered activities on Capriole. Whispers and Whinnies is the perfect general chat board, allowing both Capriole-related topics and topics that pertain to things outside of the game.
While we want Whispers and Whinnies to remain as free and fun as possible, keep in mind that there are a few rules that are instated for your protection and the protection of other members. While many of these rules are common sense, they're essential to make sure that this board remains appropriate and safe for all ages.
Behavioral Rules
- No racist, sexist, etc., comments allowed. Capriole caters to all members regardless of age, gender, race, sexual orientation, religion, etc. Capriole is a safe space, and this rule is strictly enforced.
- "Mini-Modding" is not allowed. If you see someone breaking the rules, please report the post and message a moderator instead of trying to take it into your own hands.
- Criticizing someone without their permission, or being extra blunt in your criticism, is not allowed. Please be respectful, especially in your critiques.
- While we do allow swearing and talk about adult topics, keep a close watch on what you say. Keep in mind that other members are thinking, feeling human beings just like you!
Posting Rules
- We do NOT allow posts asking for medical advice, mental health advice, posts talking about suicide etc. If you have a problem, see a professional. Even if there are members on Capriole in medical and mental health fields, there is no way to accurately diagnose and treat a problem online. If you have a medical problem, serious problems with your mental health, thoughts of suicide, traumatic events etc., call an appropriate hotline or make an appointment with a professional.
- That being said, we do allow talk about topics pertaining to health and mental health issues, as long as they are not posts that ask for advice. If someone in the topic does give you advice, take it with a grain of salt. Not all problems have the same solution and it should really be talked over with a professional.
- Adult topics are allowed, but put an 18+ warning on the title of the thread. Content such as sexual assault/rape, extremely graphic blood/gore, pornography, etc. should not be discussed publicly on the forum.
- Blatantly posting about specific people or groups on the forum is not allowed. If you have a problem with staff or other members, send a PM to a moderator or administrator.
- Controversial topics should not be discussed here. This includes topics relating to religion, political issues, race, etc. On Capriole, we want everyone to respect the fact that every member has an opinion, and some opinions may differ. Controversial topics that cause a divide between members do more harm than good. If you want to discuss these topics, do it off-site or over private messages.
Remember that these rules may change in the future. If you see someone breaking these rules, send a message to a moderator immediately and report the offending post.
