Established in 2014, Foxwood is relatively new to the equestrian world. Foxwood is located in Monte Vista, near the river. The facilities have a homey feel, but has enough room to stall up to twenty horses, or more if some are outdoor board. The goal at Foxwood is to rehabilitate horses off the track, those previously neglected, or just work out behavioral problems, while delivering the feeling of being at home. The founder lives on site so that the horses can be monitored through the night. Foxwood has a large pasture and a grass arena that can also be used for turnout. Despite not currently owning a lot of additional property for more pastures and arenas, Foxwood is located near Carolan Estate, which has multiple arenas, a cross country course offering multiple levels, and show grounds that can be visited for a small grounds usage fee. This guarantees horses the chance to not only practice, but enter shows close to home for experience.

Evelyn Slater, more commonly known by her nickname, Soap, is the proud owner of Foxwood. At the young age of nineteen, she spent the money she had saved as her college funds to buy a small cabin that had a shed row style barn in the backyard. She moved her 9 year old off the track thoroughbred gelding, Provoking, to her new place, and began working on fixing the small place up. It is her lifelong dream to not only compete horses in upper level events, but also rehabilitate thoroughbreds after their racing careers are over. As part of this dream, she recently purchased her second off the track thoroughbred. She hopes with her work, more thoroughbreds will be saved from a dark fate after their racing careers, and the world will recognize their potential as sport horses.

Provoking "Rio"
Provoking, or "Rio" as he's known around the barn, is an eight year old off the track thoroughbred gelding. He's been off the track for four years, where he had a successful 8 starts, and a fairly good career. Unfortunately, his lucky streak ended, and he was cheaply sold. Luckily, Evelyn Slater picked the young horse up as her first off the track project, and has been a success. He quickly became accustomed to flat work, and before long was also showing talent in jumping. Fast forward a few years, and here he is today, competing successfully in eventing, along with the chill personality required to be used as a trail horse.
Ladylike "Lady"
Ladylike is a three year old thoroughbred mare, who has only been off the track for a few months. She's proven to be a little more of a challenge than Rio had been, but she seems to be slowly coming around. Right now, she's spending a lot of her time out in the pasture with Rio, as she's still young and is not ready for a lot of work with a rider. This time has given Evelyn plenty of time to work with her on her ground manners though, and Lady is an absolute star when it comes to trailering and standing for the clippers!
