 Welcome to the Stables Ashby scrapbook! As things get built up and polished up around here, I'll post some pretty pictures to keep you all updated. We are a small eventing, breeding, and agistment stables. Our main priority is the quality care for our horses. As Stables Ashby opens its barn doors for the first time, we'd like to introduce our two resident stallions.  Tolstoy is our Thoroughbred stallion bred specifically for eventing. He is just starting to come into his own, and we can't wait to get him out in the show ring!He can be on the lazy side (nobody guesses his breed from his attitude alone!), and needs a willful rider to push him, but once he has his mind in the game, he's a fantastic ride.
He always receives praise on his fluid, ground covering trot, and ability to jump neatly and without fuss.
We are also excited about him as a breeding prospect, both with Warmblood and Thoroughbred mares for purpose bred eventing offspring.
As you can tell, we love our Tolly!
Atticus is a young Oldenburg stallion who we have bought in order to breed with more athletic Warmblood type mares, or Thoroughbred mares to produce some quality eventing foals.
While his duties are limited to breeding at the moment, he may be leased out in the future to cement his career in the show jumping ring. Expressions of interest will be considered!
He has an effortless jump with awesome scope paired with a 'can-do' attitude.
The first foals from Stables Ashby will be from this lovely guy, so keep your eyes out for an Atticus baby in the near future! |
